Mature trees do, unfortunately, sometimes need to be cut down to prevent them from naturally falling. Aside from being aesthetically unpleasant, stumps can become a tripping hazard and can cause suckering or dangerous fungal root rot. GRINDING
The most common way to remove stumps is by stump grinding. This technique requires a special piece of equipment called a stump grinder that chips away the stump up to the 14″ below the grade. Depending on the job, stump grinders range in size from the size of lawnmowers to the size of small trucks. Please note that the minimum stump grinding charge is $125.00 and typically covers removal of 1-3 stumps and our travelling time to your location.
